Common questions
Why don't my steps appear?
Step Tracker only displays data Apple Health already has. Open the Health app to confirm step data is recorded for your iPhone. If you use an Apple Watch, make sure it is paired and syncing.
Why does the app ask for Health permission again?
iOS handles HealthKit permissions, and they can be reset by iOS updates or by you in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. Granting permission again restores the data.
Does Step Tracker work without an internet connection?
Yes. Step Tracker is fully offline. It reads from Apple Health on your device and shows the data locally. No connection is needed at any point.
Does it drain my battery?
No. Step Tracker only refreshes when you open it or on a light periodic check. It does not use background location or continuous monitoring.
How do I turn reminders off?
Open Step Tracker, go to Settings inside the app, and toggle reminders off. You can also disable Step Tracker notifications in iOS Settings → Notifications.
Will there be an Apple Watch version?
Possibly in a later release. The current app is iPhone-only.
